About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and data-driven Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving Embark's growth by analyzing internal and external data to uncover opportunities for innovation. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business strategies.

What you’ll do:

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from internal systems and external sources.
    • Develop dashboards and reports to visualize data trends and business metrics.
    • Identify patterns and insights that can drive business decisions and innovation.
  • Market Research:
    • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand industry trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes.
    • Monitor and report on emerging technologies and market shifts that could impact Embark's strategic positioning.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for growth and innovation.
    • Support the development of business cases for new initiatives, including cost-benefit analyses and ROI projections.
    • Assist in formulating strategic plans that align with Embark's mission and business objectives.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate existing business processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement data-driven solutions to optimize operational workflows.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Present data findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Work closely with product development, marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on business initiatives.

Experience we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or other BI platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with market research methodologies and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for innovation and a deep interest in the pet or biotechnology industry is a plus.

Salary: $119,000 - $145,000
