About the role:

The Growth Marketer, Amazon & Marketplaces plays a critical role in Embark's growth trajectory, overseeing the efficient scaling of one of Embark’s most impactful and fastest growing channels. In this role, you will bring years of PPC expertise to bear to streamline and scale our Amazon campaigns to both grow the category and capture market share. You will define strategy and maintain an ongoing testing calendar to continually improve our listings, ads, and exclusive Amazon event opportunities. Your creativity and storytelling skills will help resolve complex issues to ensure peak performance from our storefront. This role gets executive visibility and is a front-and-center contributor to Embark’s long term growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage bids and budgets for Amazon campaigns across our suite of products, using excellent analytical abilities to optimize for sales efficiency, prominence, and scale.
  • Define strategy and oversee execution of Amazon awareness channels, including AMG display as well as exclusive deals and opportunities available to Embark.
  • Define and maintain a testing roadmap for continuous improvement of Embark’s listing pages, content, and ad creative. 
  • Manage Amazon listings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and inclusion of up-to-date creative.
  • Serve as Embark’s liaison with Amazon, managing support ticket submission and escalation to creatively solve issues ranging up to business-critical.
  • Build a rapport with Embark’s dedicated Amazon support team to ensure we are prioritized for new opportunities and issue resolution. 
  • Deliver weekly and ad hoc reporting to help the business understand Amazon performance, challenges, and opportunities. Track on-platform market share as an input to strategic decision making for the overall business.
  • Partner with the Logistics team to ensure appropriate forecasting of inventory needs to keep partners in-stock.
  • Manage auction bidding across retail marketplaces, including Walmart, Target, and Petco. 

What experience we’re looking for:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in PPC bidding and performance marketing. Amazon Seller Central experience a major plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience translating dashboards and excel reports into actionable business insights.
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to gather relevant information and utilize critical thinking to model risk/reward for executive decision making.
  • Proven track record of setting objectives and meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to turn data into a compelling narrative both for internal reporting and Amazon support issue resolution.
  • Organizational and time management skills along with the ability to parallel multiple projects at once.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills in either Excel or Google Sheets.
  • A/B Testing experience a big plus.
